Mission Statement
Vaad HaRabonim Florida β Rabbinical Alliance (VHF) is established exclusively for Religious, Charitable and Educational purposes namely: to strengthen, support and invigorate Jewish communities and infrastructures in the State of Florida, by upholding the integrity and credibility of all matters pertaining to Yahadus (i.e. Jewish life).
These matters include, but are not limited to: Kiddushin (Marriage) Gittin (Divorce) Kashrus (Food prepared according to Jewish Dietary Laws) Bris (Circumcision) Giur (Conversion to Judasim) Mikvaos (Ritual immersion pools), STAM (Sacred scrolls) and Batei Dinim (Rabbinical Courts).
VHF will strive to provide religious leadership to the Jewish communities of Florida; to supervise, and endorse Kosher food establishments; to establish and support existing institutions and schools for religious instruction; to provide rabbinical arbitration; to undertake communal, religious endeavors; to promote a spirit of brotherhood and a closer association between its members/affiliates and between all the subdivisions they are assigned to; to assist in charitable work of any nature, that is deemed beneficial to the best interests of itβs mission and of the society as a whole.
VHF will carry out all its activities according to Torah-Halachic tradition based on the Code of Jewish Law (Shulchan Aruch) by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi and other authorized texts of traditional Judaism and customs.
